From Austria and Germany
The Plöcken Pass (Passo di Monte Croce Carnico) reopened on 22 May 2026: from there it's 20 km to the house. Short closures for roadworks are possible until winter: check before you leave.
Without a car
The nearest railway station is Carnia, in the town of Venzone, 29 km away. From Tolmezzo to Sutrio there's bus 130 run by TPL FVG, the regional bus company. You'll need a car for the ski lifts and for day trips.
